About the Work

In the spirit of citywide collaboration, ART on THE MART continued its valued partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago as it brought iconic works by Andy Warhol to the facade of THE MART along Chicago's Riverwalk.

The projection displayed some of the artist's most iconic works – including Shot Orange Marilyn (1964) – in conjunction with the Art Institute of Chicago's major exhibition Andy Warhol: From A to B and Back Again. The public extension of the exhibition spoke to the artist's own play with exposure and his interest in the public realm.
