About the Work

Join us for our annual holiday tradition celebrating American Independence Day. The digital art projection illuminates 2.5 acres of THE MART's facade in traditional colors associated with the Fourth of July – red, white and blue – with classic Americana songs playing from the audio speakers installed along the Chicago Riverwalk.

The projection runs from June 29 until July 5 alongside our 2023 commission by acclaimed international contemporary artist Derrick Adams. Find out more about our other holiday projections this summer, including our annual Pride projection throughout the month of June.
